Good afternoon all...
For today, I would like to do something a little different than I usually do for my "thoughts." I would actually like to just share some song lyrics from a song that I listened to earlier today. It is not a Christian song, but if you look at what it is saying, it really does have a message that those of us who follow Christ could use... The song is "One Hell of An Amen" by Brantley Gilbert. Now, you probably wonder what sort of Christian message we can get from that, and it is simply this--the way that we live our lives in the face of adversity is the best witness we have. I honestly don't think that there is anything (humanly speaking) that can touch a hardened heart like this. We all, saved or not, go through tough times in this life. That is something that we can all relate to, and when people who do not have Christ see us face things that they have had to face, and do so with a spirit of peace and boldness and hope, even when it seems hopeless, they can't help but wonder what is different about us.
SO, the challenge for today is to live your life in such a way that the people around you see your life as an "Amen." Don't let this life defeat you, b/c our God has already defeated the world. WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS!
